So every year some new nut or religious extremeist decides to shake thingsw up a bit, scaring the la-men into believing their coo-coo claims of rapture and global destruction with specifics and dates based on some ancient blah-blah or the next -_-

According to 89-year-old—Harold Camping, a Family Radio founder, a California-based religious broadcasting network that spans more than 150 outlets in the United States, the world should have actually ended TODAY May 21, 2011. Despite Camping being wrong in his first prediction back in 1994 to which he wrote a book titled “1994?” that claimed the world’s demise was due at that time; people still bought into his new theory of rapture in 2011 [SMDH]

You had fellow nut-job–Robert Fitzpatrick, who shared Camping’s beliefs to the extent that he spent his entire life’s savings to warn New York of the impending doom [ironically, today's doom] The retired MTA electrical engineer has stopped at nothing to advertise the end of the world spending a whopping $140,00 to produce ads promoting the rapture.

Everywhere in Staten Island, including subway cars, platforms and bus shelters, are plastered with Fitzpatrick’s doomsday warnings. In newspapers his presence is also felt. The Staten Island Advance carries his ads, as well as the trade publication Defense News, out of Springfield, Virginia.

According to Fitzpatrick, “I believe that I will be raptured, instantly transported to heaven; I hope so, I don’t want to be here for the earthquake.”

Sure enough…the world has not ended and if it was going to–surely China would have already been whipped of the map….it’s almost Sunday there O_o China….Are you guys still there???
